Real Madrid C.F. UEFA Champions League Odds
Real Madrid and Champions League success are synonymous at this point. Real Madrid have lapped the field in almost every quantifiable measure when it comes to the most prestigious club competition in the world. The club has won the competition 13 times, six more times than any other team. Additionally, Real Madrid has made 48 Champions League appearances, 11 more than the next closest team.
It has been like this since the Champions League was created in the mid-1950s. Real Madrid has prioritized the tournament like no other club, winning the first five Champions League titles to put distance between themselves and the rest of the field. Despite a relative downturn where there was a 32-year drought between their titles in 1966 and 1998, no team surpassed them in any Champions League metric. Their form over the past two decades has ensured it would take a long time for the club to be caught too.
Real Madrid won three titles in the span of five years when they won the Champions League in 1998, 2000, and 2002, and they are on an even greater run now. The club has won four of the last five Champions League titles, and three in a row coming into this year’s competition.

Real Madrid’s dominance has been incredible. It’s not easy to continue to make deep runs in the Champions League while also competing for domestic titles and cups, but they have not shown any signs of fatigue slowing them down over the past five seasons.
During their time at the top of European football, Real Madrid has not had the fortune of avoiding the other top contenders. In their 2014 run, they had to face Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid en route to the title. In 2016, the club took on Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and bested Atletico Madrid once more to make it two in three years. The 2017 campaign saw Real Madrid dispatch of Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus in succession to make it three in four years, and 2018 was the most impressive run yet as the club beat Paris Saint Germain, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool to win it all once more.
This season might prove to be the most challenging yet for Real Madrid. In the offseason, the club got rid of long-time superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and his production will be tough to replace. The club is hopeful that either Gareth Bale or Isco can take a huge step forward to mitigate the loss, and they think they might have the next big thing in winger Vinicius Junior too. Winning four in a row is a massive task, but if any team can do it, it’s Real Madrid.
