Sevilla FC Spanish La Liga Odds
One of the oldest clubs in Spain is Sevilla. Sevilla was founded in 1890, and it is the country’s oldest football-only club. They have been in the top flight of Spanish football for almost their entire history, yet they have only been able to win one league title in that time. That’s despite finishing in the top eight more often than not. Sevilla has been able to claim five Copa del Rey titles though, last winning the competition in 2010.
Sevilla has dominated the Europa League over the last dozen years. In that span, the club has won the Europa League five times, and they have now won the competition twice more than any other team. Sevilla became the second team ever to win the Europa League in consecutive years when they won in 2006 and 2007, and they became the first team to ever win it in three straight seasons by winning in 2014, 2015, and 2016

Sevilla has been a mainstay in European play over the last 15 years. In that time, the Andalusian club has made it to either the Europa League or Champions League in all but one season. They have had a world of success in those competitions, and they made their deepest Champions League run in 60 years last season. Sevilla upset Manchester United and made it to the Quarterfinals of the competition before bowing out to Bayern Munich.
That success came at the price of their placement in La Liga. Sevilla was very fortunate to finish seventh last season, edging out Getafe for the last Europa League spot by a few points. They finished 18 behind Getafe in terms of goal differential though and gave up nine more goals than they scored.
In the offseason, the club parted ways with center back Clement Lenglet, who signed a big deal with league rivals Barcelona. They turned their attention to France to better themselves in defense by acquiring midfielder Ibrahim Amadou from Lille and center back Joris Gnagnon from Rennais. The continued development of Wissam Ben Yedder is key to their success this season.
