The Central Florida Knights are one of the few undefeated teams remaining in college football, but their poor strength of schedule may keep them out of the College Football Playoff. UCF can’t do much about that now, and all it must concentrate on is continuing to rack up the wins. Central Florida will aim to move to 10-0 when it faces off against the Temple Owls in Week 13 of the NCAA football slate. Temple is 5-5 overall and .500 in the conference as well. The Owls are at home and that is an advantage but they will still be the underdogs against their nationally ranked foe. UCF wants to win and win in style as it hopes to somehow sneak into the national semifinals despite playing in a smaller conference. ... 

The U is back baby! The Miami Hurricanes are the hottest team in college football right now and shot up to the No. 3 spot in the latest College Football Playoff rankings as a result of their win over Notre Dame last week. Miami is now in line for the No. 2 overall spot if it wins out and Hard Rock Stadium should be a sight to see with thousands of turnover chains shining in the bright Florida sun this weekend. The Wisconsin Badgers can finally get some respect this week. Wisconsin played its first ranked opponent last week when it took on the Iowa Hawkeyes, dismantling Kirk Ferentz’s squad 38-14. The win moved Wisconsin up three spots to No. 5 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings and gives the Badgers a chance to crack the top four with a win this week. Wisconsin got their first real test of the year when they faced the Iowa Hawkeyes and they passed it with flying colors, pulling away to an impressive 38-14 win. The Badgers improved to 10-0 on the year and clinched the Big Ten West in the process. Things don’t get any easier for Wisconsin with a home game on the slate this week against a tough Michigan team.Around the league in Week 11, the Buckeyes crushed Michigan State, 48-3, handing Spartans coach, Mark Dantonio his worst loss of his career. Ohio State is now in the driver’s seat to win the Big Ten East.... 

Everyone is back on the Ohio State Buckeyes bandwagon. Just one week after Ohio State got pantsed by Iowa on national television, the Buckeyes took out all of their anger and frustration on Michigan State in a 48-3 blowout. Ohio State is still in control of its destiny and is the favorite to win the Big Ten at this point despite having two losses. Mike Riley is as good as gone. The Nebraska Cornhuskers coach is probably going to post his second losing season in three years in Lincoln and with the AD that hired him gone, his days as the head coach of Nebraska are numbered. New AD Bill Moos has not even given him a vote of confidence, only saying that Riley “deserved to finish the season”. Even with wins this week against the Penn State Nittany Lions and next week against the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Cornhuskers would only be 6-6 and that would still spell the end of his tenure.This matchup in Week 12 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 4 p.m. ET at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania. Although the TCU Horned Frogs dropped their game against Oklahoma last week, all is not lost for Gary Patterson’s bunch. Because of wins over Oklahoma State and West Virginia, the Horned Frogs have tiebreakers over both teams and would make the Big 12 Championship Game if they happened to win out. The Northern Illinois Huskies are still in the hunt for the MAC West title. Although they lost to Toledo two weeks ago, the Rockets loss to Ohio last week opens the door for the Huskies. It won’t be an easy path as they have to beat both Central Michigan and this week’s opponent, the Western Michigan Broncos. It’s been a disappointing season for both the UNLV Rebels and the New Mexico Lobos. Both schools came into the season thinking that they could make a bowl, but that’s only a possibility for 4-6 UNLV at this point. However, the Rebels have to win two straight road games in order to get to 6-6, starting with the Lobos. With all the attention given to their in-state rival, it’s easy to forget the South Florida Bulls still control their own destiny when it comes to winning the AAC and grabbing the Group of Five spot in the College Football Playoff. South Florida is 8-1 and if it beats UCF on Thanksgiving weekend, it will win the AAC East. First things first for the Bulls though, they must take care of business against the 2-8 Tulsa Golden Hurricane at home on Thursday night.Watch this regular season Week 12 matc... 

Poor Kansas. The Kansas Jayhawks have just one FBS win in the past three seasons and are set to get steamrolled again on Saturday. Kansas will be facing an Oklahoma Sooners team that knows it needs to win and win big in its last two games in order to feel confident about a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Jayhawks have yet to stay within 10 points of any FBS opponent yet this season and know that they will likely extend that streak here. It was a tough weekend for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who suffered their second loss of the season to Miami and most likely slipped out of College Football Playoff contention. The Fighting Irish are now 8-2 heading into a matchup against the Navy Midshipmen in Week 12 of the regular season.The Midshipmen come in at 6-3 and are facing their second ranked opponent of the season after falling to UCF a few weeks ago. Navy righted the ship last week against SMU after losing three in a row, but will likely be big underdogs again this week.... 

The Georgia Bulldogs lost their No. 1 ranking almost as quick as they had it. Georgia was trounced by Auburn in the Oldest Rivalry in the Deep South last week and saw its chances of making the College Football Playoff take a severe hit as a result. The Bulldogs cannot afford a slip up the rest of the way with a schedule that looks much weaker after Notre Dame was pummeled by Miami. The Ohio Bobcats can clinch their fifth MAC East title in the last 12 seasons this Tuesday night with a win over the Akron Zips. Akron is the only other team in the MAC East with a winning record and the only team left that can keep Ohio from playing at Ford Field on December 2. Ohio has yet to win a MAC Championship in this era despite making it here four times, but this might be the best team we have seen yet from Frank Solich during his time in Athens.... 

An impressive three-game stretch for the LSU Tigers was halted last time out when they fell to Alabama. LSU is 6-3 on the season and out of the College Football Playoff conversation but hopes to play well down the stretch to get selected to a prestigious bowl game. The Tigers shouldn’t have much trouble in Week 11 when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks.Arkansas played pretty well in its non-conference slate but has struggled in SEC action. This is a tough matchup in a hostile environment and the Razorbacks’ defense must be much better than it has shown this season in order to have a chance at keeping this matchup within striking distance.... 

The UCF Golden Knights are zeroed in on the Group of Five automatic bid. UCF is the only undefeated mid-major left in the country and knows that the spot is there as long as they win out. The Connecticut Huskies have had an up and down season. Randy Edsall’s return has brought some excitement back to the program, but this team has been pasted a lot this year. Oddsmakers are expecting more of the same as this is the largest spread of the week.This matchup in Week 11 of the regular season will tak... 

The Florida Gators have fallen apart after a 3-1 start, losing four straight games heading into their road matchup in Week 11 against SEC foe the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gators were expected to be one of the better teams in the country in 2017 and instead are in danger of missing a bowl game entirely.It’s been a quick fall and it remains to be seen if Florida can turn it around or will just mail it in the rest of the way. The Gamecocks have won three of their past four games but are getting outgained by about 50 yards per game this year so this isn’t a slam dunk that they win this game.... 

The Penn State Nittany Lions have seen their College Football Playoff hopes get dashed with consecutive losses to Ohio State and Michigan State the past two weeks. They will try to right the ship next time out and shouldn’t have much trouble against a struggling Rutgers Scarlet Knights squad.The outcome isn’t in much doubt in this one, but the spread is so large that it remains to be seen if Penn State will be able to cover. Rutgers is 3-3 in the Big Ten but has not been competitive against the better teams in the conference, and Penn State is definitely one of those.... 

The USC Trojans seem to do this every year. USC came into the season highly ranked and were favored to win the PAC 12 after how it closed out last year. However, the Trojans struggled at the start of the year and the only team they were able to decisively beat was Stanford. Eventually, the school collapsed in a 35-point loss to Notre Dame and everyone wrote off the Trojans. Of course, USC responded by scoring a combined 97 points on the Arizona schools as a short favorite the last two weeks and can now clinch the PAC 12 South with a win over the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday.This matchup in Week 11 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 4 p.m. ET at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. For years, the Florida State Seminoles dominated the ACC. From 1992 to 2003, FSU won 11 ACC championships and looked like it was starting another run after winning three straight titles from 2012 to 2014. However, it’s the Clemson Tigers that have instead dominated the conference. Clemson has made it to the national title game the last two seasons and won its first national championship in 35 years last season. We are almost 30 years removed from the infamous Catholics vs. Convicts game played between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes. It’s only fitting that both programs are back in the national spotlight after a prolonged dip and College GameDay will be in south Florida for the meeting between these two teams this season. First place in the Big 12 and a potential spot in the College Football Playoff will be on the line when the Oklahoma Sooners and the TCU Horned Frogs square off this week. Both teams have already suffered one loss thanks to the surprising performance of giant-killers Iowa State, but both teams are still 5-1 in conference and 8-1 overall.
