Old School Meets New School
Indiana isn’t as talented but does get to play this game at home. The Hoosiers’ defense will look to take advantage of an uncertain quarterback situation for Michigan. An upset here would be a great win for Indiana and a devastating one for the Wolverines, although it will take a lot of things to go right for Indiana for it to happen. This contest in Week 7 of the regular season will go down Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 12 p.m. ET at Memorial Stadium....
Florida State has the more talented team and should win this game, but it’s fair to wonder where the Seminoles are mentally at this point. Duke had some nice wins early on but hasn’t played as well of late. The Blue Devils could get a huge boost in their hopes of making a bowl game by capturing this victory. This contest in Week 7 of the regular season will go down Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 12 p.m. ET at Wallace Wade Stadium....
The Broncos have long been the heavyweight in the Mountain West but San Diego State is gunning for that crown in 2017. The Aztecs have the home field advantage in this one and the superior team, and therefore is the favorite to take care of business. However, it would be silly to count out a Boise State program that has a ton of big-game experience and will no doubt be ready to play in this showdown....
Since dropping back-to-back matchups against USC and San Diego State, the Stanford Cardinal bounced back in a big way with three straight wins in conference play. They’ll return home off a solid showing in Salt Lake City looking to turn its attention to Pac-12 North play versus the struggling Oregon Ducks. Willie Taggart’s squad just got its lunch served at home by Wazzu in the second half, and will head into this game without the services of Justin Herbert....
A big one is set to go down in the Pac-12 South on Saturday night when the UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats go at one another in hopes of logging their second conference win of the season. Jim Mora’s kids will have had a couple weeks to get prepared for this one, so a much better effort is expected than the one put forth at Stanford in their Pac-12 road opener. Arizona will enter with confidence after going into Boulder and shocking the Buffaloes as 7-point underdogs....
Off an impressive 65-19 thrashing of Kansas as 14.5-point road chalk, the Texas Tech Red Raiders will stay on the road and head to Morgantown for a premiere Big 12 showdown with the West Virginia Mountaineers. Dana Holgorsen’s kids represented well in Ft. Worth by giving No. 6 ranked TCU a major run for their money. At 1-1 within the conference, a win is crucial for the Mounty’s if they have any plans of heading to Big D to participate in the conference title game....
Fresh off a tough home defeat to the LSU Tigers, the Florida Gators will once again play outside of the division on Saturday when they welcome in the Texas A&M Aggies. This will be Kevin Sumlin’s troops first appearance in “The Swamp” since joining the SEC years back. These teams have only met once in SEC play dating back to 2012 when the Gators beat the Aggies 20-17 as 1-point dogs in front of the 12th Man....
The Ohio State Buckeyes are at it again. After an early season loss, Ohio State has now won four straight games by at least 30 points and crushed Rutgers and Maryland in consecutive weeks. This is a pattern for Ohio State at this point, who has done this for the past four years now. The Buckeyes will now head on the road for what seemed like a tough test at the start of the season. However, disaster has struck for the Nebraska Cornhuskers who might miss out on a bowl for the second time in three years under Mike Riley....
If you’ve paid any attention to the media, you would think that the Wisconsin Badgers have already wrapped up the Big Ten West. The Badgers are the only undefeated team left in the division, and traditional contenders Nebraska and Iowa don’t look good through the first half of the season. However, there is one other team that is being overlooked, the Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue looks reinvigorated under new head coach Jeff Brohm and can put itself in the driver’s seat in the Big Ten with a win over Wisconsin on Saturday. Winning in Madison would be a tall task, but this team might just be game for it....
The TCU Horned Frogs are officially on upset alert this week in the Little Apple. TCU has to travel to Manhattan to take on the Kansas State Wildcats and their wily head coach Bill Snyder. Snyder has a reputation for knocking off ranked teams in big games and oddsmakers are aware of this. A win for TCU here would mean an 8-0 start is likely with its next two games coming against Kansas and Iowa State, while a loss would probably submarine any hopes they have of crashing the College Football Playoff....
It’s been a tale of two vastly different seasons for these two teams. For the Missouri Tigers, the hits haven’t stopped. Mizzou’s lone win this season came against FCS Missouri State, and its defense has been continually gashed. Embattled head coach Barry Odom is thought to be a lock to be fired at the end of the season, as the Tigers defense has completely collapsed this year. For the Georgia Bulldogs, it’s been a very sweet year. Georgia looks like one of the best teams in the country, and might be the one team in the SEC able to knock off Alabama. Kirby Smart’s defense might just be the best defense in the country and that’s saying something this year....

The California Golden Bears are hoping that Friday the 13th could prove to be unlucky for their opponent this year. The Washington State Cougars are coming to Berkeley and are looking to keep their dream for an undefeated season alive. They have already knocked off USC and Oregon, and are already starting to gear up for their games against Stanford and Washington. An upset by California would throw a wrench into those plans, but not too unsurprising considering the nature of this rivalry.Watch this regular season Week 7 matchup live on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 10:30 p.m. ET at Kabam Field in Berkeley, California. This game will be broadcast on ESPN....
Chris Peterson and the Washington Huskies are a team on a mission. Washington is looking to return to the College Football Playoff, and has mowed over its competition so far this season. The Huskies have defeated each of their opponents by at least 16 points, and have only allowed a total of 24 points in three PAC 12 games thus far. This week, they will face the Arizona State Sun Devils and look to extend that streak. Now…if they can only get a kickoff time before 10 PM Eastern.Kickoff for this regular season Week 7 game is set for Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 10:45 p.m. ET at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. This game will be broadcast on ESPN....
The USC Trojans will be looking for revenge when they host the Utah Utes this Saturday. Last season, Utah knocked off USC in the Beehive State to send the Trojans to a 1-3 start. It put Clay Helton’s job in jeopardy not long after he took over in Los Angeles and raised question about where the program was headed. This year, people are expecting a Trojans win, but this team has not been impressive this season. A loss would certainly leave them on the outside looking in for the College Football Playoff no matter what they do the rest of the year.Kickoff for this regular season Week 7 game is set for Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET at L.A. Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. This game will be broadcast on ABC....
It hasn’t been a good year for the Texas State Bobcats. The Bobcats have lost five in a row and look like one of the worst teams in college football at the moment. They have given up at least 44 points in each of their last three games and their lone win on the year was against Houston Baptist, a school that only joined the ranks of the FCS three years ago. Texas State now faces the daunting task of going into Cajun Country and taking on the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns this Thursday night.Watch this regular season Week 7 matchup live on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Cajun Field in Lafayette, Louisiana. This game will be broadcast on ESPNU....
The Troy Trojans will receive a hero’s welcome when they take the field next week against the South Alabama Jaguars. Last week, Troy stunned the college football world by going into LSU and knocking off the Tigers in a night game. The win put Troy back on the college football radar and was a huge feather in the cap of the Sun Belt Conference. These Trojans are the favorites to win the conference at this point and will now try to get their second win in Sun Belt play.Watch this regular season Wee...
Vegas thinks that the Texas Longhorns are a very live dog against the Oklahoma Sooners this week. The spread in the Red River Showdown is the lowest it has been since 2012, but in that meeting the Sooners hammered the Longhorns 63-21. Although Oklahoma has been favored in almost every season since 2000 in this rivalry, Texas wins a surprising amount of games and these teams have split the last 12 meetings down the middle.Kickoff for this regular season Week 7 game is set for Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. ET at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. This game will be broadcast on ESPN....
The Clemson Tigers continue to surpass expectations as they look to get back to the College Football Playoff in order to defend their national title. Last week was a bit of a letdown for the Tigers as they failed to cover the spread against a pesky Wake Forest team, but this week’s showdown looks to be full of fireworks. Clemson will be traveling north to face the Syracuse Orange, one of the most annoying teams in the ACC because of the go-go-go offense that Dino Babers runs.Watch this regular season Week 7 matchup live on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 7 p.m. ET at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. This game will be broadcast on ESPN....
It’s another week of big favorites in college football as Auburn is the only team in the AP Top 10 that isn’t at least a double-digit favorite. This week’s schedule is a little lackluster, so it’s no surprise that College GameDay went to FCS James Madison instead of a bigger school. There are still a lot of intriguing matchups this week, so let’s break down some of the better games on the slate....
The Alabama Crimson Tide have not lost to the Arkansas Razorbacks since 2007 and would like to keep that streak going this year. Alabama is a huge favorite against Arkansas, just like it would be against almost any team in the nation. The Crimson Tide have perhaps the most formidable defense in the country, and an offense that is good at slowly racking up the yards and churning out the clock. It’s a model that Bret Bielema has tried to emulate at Arkansas without nearly the success....
Off a huge home win against then No. 5 ranked USC, the No. 11 ranked Washington State Cougars will hit the road for Eugene where the upset minded Oregon Ducks await. This huge spot under the nationally televised lights will be Luke Falk and company’s first trek away from the comforts of Martin Stadium. They’ll enter the spot confident knowing full well they’ve taken two straight and covered each of the last seven against their Pac-12 North rivals.Watch this regular season Week 6 matchup live on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET from Autzen Stadium. This game will be broadcast live on FOX....
Winners of three straight both straight up and against the spread, the No. 22 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish will hit the road for the third time this season looking to build off their first two impressive road efforts at BC and Michigan State. A walk in the park looks to be ahead of them in the form of a North Carolina Tar Heels squad that only has a win against Old Dominion to show for their work through the first five weeks. Looks can however be deceiving.Kickoff for this regular season Week 6 game is set for Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. ET at Kenan Stadium. This game will be broadcast live on ABC....
The LSU Tigers enter Week 6 one of the most embarrassed teams in the country. It paid Troy University $1 million dollars to come down to Baton Rouge and play the part of the sacrificial lamb. Instead, Ed Orgeron’s kids lost outright 24-21 as decided favorites and then got trolled by the Trojans on social media immediately after. It’s safe to say they won’t take to The Swamp gridiron in the best of moods for this revenge bout with the Florida Gators who also went into Tigers Stadium and won last season as big underdogs. This matchup in Week 6 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. ET at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. This game will be broadcast live on CBS....
The Georgia Bulldogs are back. This looks like the team to beat in the SEC East in Kirby Smart’s second year on the job. Much like Nick Saban’s first year at Alabama, Smart’s first season in Athens was full of stumbles. However, like Saban, Smart is now crushing every challenger his team faces with workmanlike efficiency and a suffocating defense. Next up on the chopping block this week are the Vanderbilt Commodores, who once had the best defense in college football through the first three weeks of the season. This contest in Week 6 of the regular season will go down Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 12 p.m. ET at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. This game will be broadcast on ESPN....
