The Sentry PGA Tour Betting

The first event of the 2025 calendar year is the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. The tournament used to be for golfers who won at least one PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year, but now the field also includes players who finished in the Top 50 in last year’s FedExCup points list. The Sentry Tournament of Champions takes place at Kapalua Resort in Maui, with Chris Kirk the defending champion. Some of the top players in the field include World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel. Scheffler won seven PGA Tour titles in 2024 and he will be listed as the golf betting favorite in this event. The tournament will be the first of eight Signature Events during the 2025 season. The event is open to PGA Tour winners from last season, including FedExCup Fall winners, and the top 50 players in the FedExCup standings.

Catch all of the action at the Sentry Tournament of Champions from Thursday, January 2 through Sunday, January 5.

The Sentry Tournament of Champions began simply as the Tournament of Champions in 1953. A number of players have won this event more than once, including Jack Nicklaus, who holds the all-time record with five wins. Scoring has been excellent in the Tournament of Champions through the years. Cameron Smith holds the course record with a 34-under par in 2022. The course is unusual because it is a par 73, something rarely seen in golf. The course features large fairways and generous greens, plus the weather is almost always excellent in Maui.
