If you didn’t live in Utah, you probably wouldn’t know that the rivalry between the Utah State Aggies and BYU Cougars is one of the low-key fiercest non-conference rivalry games in the country. Utah State fans troll BYU by calling the school BYU-P or BYU-Provo, while BYU fans counter by pointing to their national championship and overall success. This will be the 88^th meeting between the schools, and Utah State will look to win The Old Wagon Wheel for the second straight year.... 

It’s the 10-year anniversary of one of the “greatest” games in college football history. On September 13, 2008, the Auburn Tigers and Mississippi State Bulldogs met in Starkville in each team’s SEC opener. Neither offense could produce much despite fine weather, and Auburn ended up beating Mississippi State 3-2. More points should be in store when these schools meet this year, as Gus Malzahn and Joe Moorhead are two of the sharpest offensive minds in the game.... 

We haven’t seen too many significant line moves among the Power 5 schools, meaning the oddsmakers got it right or the betting public has been hesitant to throw down coin early in the week. This is a great chance for Jeremy Pruitt to reward Phil Fulmer for his trust. Pruitt was at least the Tennessee Volunteers sixth choice to be their next head coach, and there are many around the program who still wonder whether or not he was the right pick. Fulmer seemed to settle on Pruitt just to end the nightmare that Tennessee’s coaching search had become, and the new coach is not in the most comfortable situation. The South Carolina Gamecocks are ready to get back on the field. After cancelling last week’s game with Marshall due to Hurricane Florence, the team is looking to respond by getting a win for their fans. However, that won’t come easy. They will be travelling to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 4 of the season, and Vandy is coming off of a tough loss. Vandy came close to knocking off a top ten Notre Dame team last week, so South Carolina better be prepared.... 

Scott Frost certainly didn’t expect his tenure with the Nebraska Cornhuskers to begin like this. Nebraska was thought to have won the offseason by landing the highly sought after coach after leading UCF to a share of the national championship, but his return to Lincoln has gotten off to a rocky start. The Cornhuskers are sitting at 0-2 entering Big Ten play, and there is a good chance they miss out on bowl season yet again. They are staring down the barrel of 0-3 as they travel to face the Michigan Wolverines in Week 4 of the college football season. ... 

Returning to the national spotlight for the first time in a decade, the Boston College Eagles go in search of their fourth straight win when they visit the Purdue Boilermakers in Week 4 action. BC entered the AP poll for the first time since 2008 at No. 23 following their 41-34 win over Wake Forest. Year 2 of the Jeff Brohm era at Purdue has hit a roadblock. The Boilers are off to their worst start since 1996, but they’ve been close and need a break to end their slide. Purdue has lost its three ... 

The lines are shaking on some of the bigger college football games in Week 4. It’s not often that we see a four-touchdown spread in a game featuring two ranked teams, but when it’s No. 1 Alabama at home, well, anything is possible. The only other top-25 matchup on this week’s slate saw the line already jump the fence. The Texas Longhorns are looking to turn the corner as a program. The school has largely floundered this decade, but many believe that Tom Herman is the man to lead a renaissance for Texas football. It looks like the Mississippi State Bulldogs found the right man to replace Dan Mullen. Joe Moorhead has thrived during his short time in Starkville. It doesn’t look like the offense has missed a beat with Moorhead at the helm, and the Bulldogs look like a team that can hold its own in the toughest division in college football. Hold that Tiger! The LSU Tigers are riding high after another big win over Auburn last week. LSU erased a fourth quarter deficit in Jordan-Hare Stadium to pull out a 22-21 victory thanks to a last-second field goal from Cole Tracy. Now, the Tigers are ranked in the top ten and trying to keep the momentum going in Week 4 against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. With the stunning loss to Troy last year still fresh in their minds, LSU will not take a good Louisiana Tech team lightly.... 

The Auburn Tigers are looking at an eerily similar situation to last year. Auburn is seen by almost everyone as one of the best teams in the country, but the Tigers have already lost one game and need to keep winning if they have any hope of making it to the College Football Playoff. They are heavy favorites in their Week 4 game against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The PAC 12 North might be the second-best division in the country. Every team but Oregon State looks very competitive, and the only team of the other five with a loss is Washington. That should create a thrilling race for the division title, and the College Gameday crew will be at the first big intra-divisional clash this Saturday. That’s when the Stanford Cardinal head north to take on the Oregon Ducks in Week 4 of the season. The winner will take an early lead in the race for the PAC 12 North ... 

Don’t look now, but Dana Holgorsen has a quarterback. The West Virginia Mountaineers are a dark horse in the Big 12 with Will Grier at the helm. Their game against North Carolina State last week was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence, but the Mountaineers lit up their first two opponents this season. They hammered Tennessee and Youngstown State, and they are now set to turn their sights on conference foes. The first of those will be the Kansas State Wildcats in Week 4 of the season....
